DAILEY ACTIVITIES

Below are several activities that are recommended during the rally. The committee realizes that some members may wish to do other things by themselves or with smaller groups. Plymouth is rich with history and has many activities. Within walking distance you can take a ferry ride to Provincetown, take a whale watching boat ride, go deep sea fishing, walk around Plymouth Center and check out Plymouth rock, The Mayflower, the first street and house in America, walk through The Plymouth Museum, take a short ride to Plimouth Plantation, spend a day on the beach, or take a bus tour of Plymouth. There are many other activities to keep you entertained. Please look through your handouts that will be given to you at registration for more ideas.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 9, 2010 EARLY ARRIVAL

We will have a 3 hour ride with stops around the Plymouth area. We will show you where you can shop, drink, bank, drink, eat, drink, pickup beer, drink, gas, drink, etc. and of course drink around town. After a quick stop back at the hotel, we will all decide where we want to eat and of course drink that night, go there and have a good time.

Thursday - June 10, 2010

OPTION 1: (half day) A 1 ½ hr. ride along beautiful Rt. 3A through several seashore towns. Check out the great homes and boating communities along Cape Cod Bay and the Boston Harbor shoreline. We will stop in Nantasket Beach for a short rest at the waterfront. You will have a short time to look around this very summer community, and then we will ride to The Gut in Hull where you can get some great pictures of Boston’s shoreline. The Ride will then head towards Historic Quincy Ma. And then back into Plymouth around 5pm.

OPTION 2: (full day) This 2 hr. ride will head west out of Plymouth center towards Newport and Jamestown RI. It will be a combination of state roads and interstates. You will ride through Newport and over the Jamestown Bridge. There will be a stop in Jamestown for a buffet lunch and then on to Coventry RI. for a stop at Station 60’s clubhouse for a refresher. You will then head back to Plymouth arriving around 5 pm.

Thursday Evening we will have a COMPLIMENTARY REGION 6 Meet N Greet at The Black Raspberry Bar and Grill where light snacks and salad will be served. After the Meet N Greet, entertainment will be provided till closing. A place where new friends can be made and old friendships renewed.

FRIDAY - JUNE 11, 2010 KILTS N KOLORS’ DAY

OPTION 1: A bus ride to Boston Ma. Additional cost. Take about an hour long bus ride to Boston and have some fun and suck up some history. When you arrive in Boston you can take a historic Duck Boat tour through parts of the city which includes a short boat ride in the Charles River. After the tour you will be on your own to experience beautiful Boston. The Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, Boston Common and Boston Garden. The Old North Church, Paul Revere House, historic Faneuil Hall, Chinatown, Rose Wharf, great restaurants, several museums and historic areas, schools like Harvard University, MIT, Boston College and many others, the waterfront where there are harbor cruises daily, and don’t forget the old North End, where you can enjoy some of the best Italian food in the world. If you like sweets, don’t forget either Modern Pastry or Mike’s Pastry, both on Hanover St. in the North End. You won’t regret it. After enjoying the day in Boston, you will board the bus for the ride back to Plymouth. Hoping to do a tour of Fenway Park for those of you interested.

Option2: This ride will leave Plymouth Center and proceed south along scenic Rt. 3A to the Saga more bridge which crosses over the Cape Cod Canal. Then along historic Rt. 6A which curves through some of the oldest areas of the capes north shore. After about 60 minutes, one group will break off from the main group and proceed south to the town of Hyannis.

Hyannis is the largest town on Cape Cod. It has many shops along Main St., a downtown Duck Boat tour, the JFK Museum, the JFK Memorial, Hyannis Harbor which has harbor cruises and a marina, many great restaurants and many other great places to spend the afternoon. Around 4:30pm that group will head back to Plymouth for the evenings events.

The remaining riders will continue on scenic Rt. 6A for about 1 hr. 45 min. more until they reach Provincetown Ma. On the outer most tip of Cape Cod. P town is a fairly large fishing village with a large costal area with many shops, restaurants, marina and other attractions. P town attracts thousands of tourists and beach lovers annually. It also is the summer home for the Northeast’s gay community. Anyone can spend a few hours in P town checking out the shops, historic sites and relaxing. About 3pm the group will head back to Plymouth for the evening events.

OPTION 3: This ride will leave Plymouth Center and head west for about 1 hr. It will have a combination of scenic roads and highways. Once reaching Gillette Stadium and Patriots Place in Foxboro Ma, you can visit the many shops, the Patriots Hall of Fame, CBS Scene and take a tour of Gillette Stadium. You can have lunch at any one of the great restaurants located within Patriots Place. Plenty to see and do. About 3:30pm, you will leave for a ride back to Plymouth. The group should arrive back in Plymouth around 4:30 pm.

Friday Evening we will have our traditional bar crawl and diner. (6pm – 8:45 pm) A must for KILTS ‘N COLORS if you have them. When we’ve hit them all, you can enjoy diner at the restaurant of your choosing. After a great meal, join us for a COMPLIMENTARY STATION 144 Plymouth Harbor Booze Cruise, w/appetizers and entertainment. (9 pm – 12 am)

SATURDAY - JUNE 12, 2010

RO’s (10am) and Presidents meeting (11am) at the Radisson Hotel. After the meeting, we will ride back to the hotel to pick up passengers and take a ride around the upper cape and then meet up with the rest of the gang at the John Alden Sportsman’s Club for the Cook out/Clambake.

At 10am, a ride for the membership will head south out of Plymouth Center along back roads through Plymouth and Bourne to the Cape Cod Canal for brief stop at the overlook. Continuing on to Cape Cods only Harley Davidson Dealer in Pocasset. Time for a t-shirt or repair parts. Then onto Falmouth and Woods Hole Ma. For lunch and maybe a short visit to the Oceanographic Museum. Then back on the scooters for a ride through Buzzards Bay and head towards the John Alden Sportsman’s Club for our Cook out/Clambake and Rodeo.

The Cook out/clambake at the John Alden Sportsman’s Club will star at 3pm. We will enjoy traditional cookout with burgers, dogs, chicken, salad etc. If you would like to experience an authentic Cape Cod clambake or a juicy steak they will be available for an additional charge per meal. (must be ordered and paid for with pre-registration.) We will have continuous music, 3 bands, an optional rodeo with prizes and lots of cold beer. We will head back to Plymouth around 9pm. The remainder of Saturday evening we will be at any one of the many bars for drinks and dancing.

SUNDAY – JUNE 13, 2010

We will have a COMPLIMENTARY farewell breakfast and General Meeting at the John Alden Sportsman’s Club. During the breakfast we will have a short general meeting, then mount or rides. Prior to leaving, a rider and bike blessing for the journey home will take place as we exit for the ride back to the hotel and checkout.

Lobster/Clambake menu: Clam Chowder, 1 ¼ lb. lobster, 1 lb. steamed clams w/butter, corn on the cob, salad and watermelon.

Steak menu: Clam Chowder, 12 oz. steak cooked the way you like it, baked potato, corn on the cob, salad and watermelon.
